In 2012, G2S was contacted by Havas Sports & Entertainment to organize the production of several
videos for their Roland Garros in Beijing event, designed to promote the French Open and tennis to the Chinese
public. From the 28th of May to the 1st of June, G2S covered the venue’s construction, during day & night, to
produce a “making-of” video, mixing time lapses, video footage and motion graphics. On the 2nd of June, G2S
handled the Opening Ceremony filming and produced a wrap-up video. Finally, the 3rd video was filmed over
two days, on the 2nd and the 3rd of June, and consisted in gathering footage of Chinese people saying hello to
France and to the attendees of Roland Garros in Paris. In addition to these 3 videos, G2S also proposed Havas
and the event’s sponsors (Lacoste, Longines & Peugeot) to produce a promotional stop motion video, to be used
during and after the event. These 4 videos were successfully delivered, despite the tight deadline, on the 5th of June, to be broadcasted in France, on Roland Garros’ screens, and to be used by the Fédération Française de Tennis (FFT) on diverse websites and as promotional material. In parallel, G2S also handled the photo coverage of the 8-day event and the video shooting of the kids’ tournament, organized on the 8th of June.
