Yingkou Bayuquan Refractory Co., Ltd. is located in Yingkou Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is the only global manufacturing base of magnesium carbon brick and aluminum magnesium carbon brick in Vesuvius. In 2019, BRC received diagnostic consultation by McKinsey. McKinsey diagnosed from six dimensions, Energy and material waste elimination、Maintenance processes、OEE, Operator Productivity, Other cost awareness and demand management，Support functions and organizational design, totally 56 levers of improvement opportunities, which can realize 9.2 M RMB of cost saving As of September 2022, 50 levers have been completed, 4 levers have been partially completed, and 2 levers have been obsoleted due to inapplicability. According to McKinsey's diagnostic result, BRC Manufacturing Excellence Project was launched in December 2019. The total investment of the project is 22.3M RMB, the expected annual saving is 13.24M RMB, along with 84 FTE savings and 20% increase on the production capacity. It will realize raw material receiving and storage automation, raw material feeding automation, mixing process automation, mixing material transfer automation, pressing automation, bricks transfer automation, heat treatment automation and packaging automation in the production line of MC and AMC brick. And it will help to promote the transformation of BRC from traditional manual production plant to modern automation production site.
