Jeshi - 'Inside Out' Music Video

Jeshi’s lyrical work already creates a rich sense of place in London, but the challenge was to apply that essence to Tokyo. The video aims to capture an aesthetic that embraces urban grit and suburban ennui, offering a perspective of Japan that aligns with their lived experience but differs from the more commonly portrayed picturesque alternatives in films. There's a lot of creative freedom and room for experimentation on a project of this nature. The footage was shot on 16mm film, so it was pivotal that to carry that same aesthetic approach into the edit, building and shaping sequences using the natural film textures.
